The state government of Mizoram has decided to observe ‘COVID-19 – No Tolerance Fortnight’ beginning from 26th October.
The Health & Family Welfare Minister of the state said that this measure would be a containment measure to flatten the curve of Covid-19 in the state. All unlock guidelines and SOPs would be followed strictly.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has fixed the minimum Net Owned Fund (NOF) size for housing finance companies at Rs 25 crore.
As per the RBI notification, the housing finance companies (HFCs) that hold a Certificate of Registration (CoR) and having an NOF of less than Rs 25 crore will be required to achieve NOF of Rs 15 crore by March 31, 2022 and Rs 25 crore by March 31, 2023.

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd (ABFRL) has proposed to raise a sum of Rs.1,500 crore from Flipkart Group. This fund rising would be by means of preferential issue of shares.
The capital would be raised at Rs.205 per share. With this capital infusion Flipkart Group will own 7.8% equity stake in ABFRL.

The Central Vigilance Commission observes the Vigilance Awareness Week from 27th October to 2nd November, 2020.
Every year, this is observed every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel falls i.e. 31st October. This year, the theme of the week is Satark Bharat, Samriddh Bharat (Vigilant India, Prosperous India).

Hyderabad International Airport has introduced contactless e-boarding facilities for international flyers, in addition to domestic passengers.
It has become the first airport in the country to introduce contactless e-boarding for passengers flying out of the country. It uses an indigenously developed digital solution, using which passengers can avoid all queues and waiting time.

Speakers and members of Parliaments of the five BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) would participate in the 6th BRICS Parliamentary Forum.
Indian Parliamentary delegation would be led by the Speaker of Lok Sabha, Om Birla. The Forum will be held in Virtual format. The meeting will be chaired by Vyachaslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.

The NASA’s Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) has confirmed the presence of water on the sunlit surface of moon.
The water particles have been discovered in Clavius Crater, one of the largest craters of moon visible from Earth. The crater is located in the Moon’s southern hemisphere.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank virtually inaugurated the DST-IIEST Solar PV Hub at IIEST, Shibpur.
Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) is an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Education and is located in the state of Kolkata. The hub will have the world class research facilities.

Chhattisgarh Assembly has recently passed an amendment Bill to negate the Centre’s recent agriculture laws.
The state assembly passed Chhattisgarh Krishi Upad Mandi (Amendment) Bill 2020, which gives powers to the state government to regulate all agricultural produce markets. It also makes provision for establishment of an electronic trading place.

The draft Coastal Shipping Bill, 2020 has been issued by the Union Ministry of Shipping. The draft has been left open for suggestions from the stakeholders and general public.
The draft bill is made available in the Shipping Ministry’s official website and would be available for suggestions till 6th November 2020.
