This was revealed in a Global Leader Approval Ratings released by a US based consulting firm Morning Consult.  Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stands at second position followed by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

The Nyingma sect has identified a boy from Spiti in Himachal Pradesh as the reincarnation of the late Taklung Setrung Rinpoche.
The Nyingma sect is the oldest of all Buddhist sects, and Taklung Setrung Rinpoche was a great scholar knwon for his expertise in Tibetan Tantric school.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) conducted 200th Consecutive Launch of ‘RH-200’ Sounding Rocket.
Indian sounding rockets are used as tools for the scientific community for carrying out experiments on meteorology, astronomy and similar branches of space physics.

Goods and Services Tax was introduced in the country with effect from July 1, 2017. The states were assured for compensation for loss of any revenue arising on account of implementation of GST as per the provisions of the GST (Compensation to States) Act, 2017 for a period of five years.
Centre has recently released Rs 17,000 crore to States and Union Territories as balance compensation for goods and services tax (GST) for the period, April-June 2022.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched successfully PSLV-C54 carrying Oceansat-3 also known as Earth Observation Satellite-6, and 8 nano-satellites.
The satellite was launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The eight nanosatellites include ISRO Nano Satellite-2 for Bhutan (INS-2B), Anand, Astrocast (four satellites), and two Thybolt satellites.

India has sent a team of three geologists to Argentina to assess potential lithium deposits and possible acquisition opportunities in the country.
The team comprises of one geologist each from Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd (MECL), KABIL (Khanij Bidesh India Ltd) and the Geological Survey of India (GSI). India does not have any lithium resource and the mineral is primarily imported. Lithium is the key component of rechargeable batteries used in EVs.

Former athlete P T Usha has been elected to become the president of Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
P T Usha won 23 medals, including 14 gold, in the Asian Championships from 1983 to 1998. She also finished fourth in the 400-metre hurdles final at the 1984 Olympics. She is also known as the ‘Payyoli Express’.

The 7th edition of Global Technology Summit is being held in New Delhi. It is India’s annual flagship event on Geo-technology and is co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs and Carnegie India.
The inaugural session of the Summit would be a conversation of External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on geo-digital and its effects. The theme for this year’s Summit is ‘Geopolitics of Technology.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has set up a 16-member FPI Advisory Committee (FAC) chaired by Hasmukh Adhia, Former Finance Secretary. It will also include H R Khan, former deputy governor, RBI and R Subramanian, Executive Director, RBI.
The 20-member committee on Review of Takeover Regulations will be headed by retired Justice Shiavax Jal Vazifdar. The social stock exchange (SSEs) advisory committee will be headed by R Balasubramaniam, Chairman, Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (Graam).

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) released its Goods Trade Barometer. As per the report, Global trade growth is likely to slow down in the closing months of 2022 and into 2023.
The reasons are shocks related to the Russia-Ukraine conflict, high energy prices, inflation, and monetary tightening in major economies.
