Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), under NITI Aayog, has launched women-centric challenges under phase-II of the second edition of the Atal New India Challenge (ANIC)
ANIC is an initiative launched to select and support technology-based innovations that solve sectoral challenges of national importance and societal relevance through a grant-based mechanism of up to ₹1 crore.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard successfully launched a new rocket named ‘Ghaem 100’, which has been designed to send satellites.
The rocket is a three-stage solid-fueled vehicle, which was launched on a suborbital test flight. It is designed to carry satellites of up to 176 pounds (80 kilograms) into orbits of about 310 miles (500 kilometers) above Earth.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar will attend the ASEAN-India summit in Cambodia, which is expected to review the status of the strategic partnership between the two sides.
He will also represent India at the 17th East Asia Summit during his three-day visit to the Southeast Asian nation, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) announced Infrastructure Resilience Accelerator Fund (IRAF), a CDRI Multi-Partner Trust Fund.
It was launched at the India Pavilion, Conference of Parties COP-27, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Around USD 50 million in financial commitments have already been announced for IRAF, over an initial duration of five years.

A total of 118 Indian universities have figured in 2023 edition of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings.
IIT Bombay has been placed at 40th rank this year. It is the top ranking institution from India. IIT-B is followed by IIT Delhi (46), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore (52) and IIT Madras (59). In the top 10, five universities are from China.

Spain and Senegal led 30 countries and 20 global organisations to launch the ‘International Drought Resilience Alliance (IDRA)’.
It was launched at the 27th Conference of Parties (COP27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) at Sharm El-Sheikh. The alliance is seen as a specific solution for the United Nations to the impacts of climate change, as it will help each other to be better prepared for future droughts.

Global index provider MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International) has added six Indian stocks to the MSCI Standard Index.
From the Asia Pacific region, there were 48 additions and 55 deletions, and most of the changes in China.

The birth anniversary of two freedom fighters namely J B Kripalani and Abul Kalam Azad fell on November 11.
Acharya Kripalani adopted Mahatma Gandhi’s leadership during the Champaran Satyagraha, and was a great Parliamentarian. Abul Kalam Azad widely admired for his intellectual prowess and initiatives towards education.

India’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) based Retail inflation dropped to 6.77 per cent in October from 7.41 per cent in the preceding month.
As per the latest data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO), the inflation in the food basket was 7.01 per cent in October. The inflation it remained above Reserve Bank’s comfort level of 2 to 6 percent for the 10th month in a row. Wholesale price-based inflation (WPI) eased to 8.39% in October from 10.7% in September.

World Diabetes Day is observed every year on November 14 by the World Health Organisation. It aims to raise awareness of diabetes as a global public health issue and solutions for prevention, diagnosis and management of the condition.
This year’s theme “Access to diabetes education” follows the multi-year theme of “Access to care.” As per WHO, there were about 8.4 million individuals worldwide with type-1 diabetes in 2021.
