The National Health Account (NHA) estimates report is prepared by National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), under the Union Health Ministry. The report is being released since 2014 and the 7th report for 2019-20 is released recently.
The NHA estimates are prepared by using an accounting framework based on the internationally accepted standard of System of Health Accounts, 2011, developed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

The report titled “Promoting Millets in Diets: Best Practices across States/UTs of India” was released recently by NITI Aayog.
It provides a set of good and innovative practices that have been adopted by state governments and organizations across the various aspects of the millet value-chain.

The India-UK ‘NET Zero’ Innovation Virtual Centre will be jointly created by the United Kingdom and India.
It will help promote collaborations between stakeholders from India and the UK to work on focus areas like decarbonisation of manufacturing processes and transportation systems, green hydrogen adoption and more.

World Day for Safety and Health at Work is observed on April 28. The theme for this year is “A safe and healthy working environment as a fundamental principle and right at work”.
In June 2022, the International Labour Conference (ILC) decided to include ‘a safe and healthy working environment’ in the ILO’s framework of fundamental principles and rights at work.

The CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) Scheme provides a hybrid security product to allow guarantee cover for the portion of credit facility not covered by the collateral security.
A revamped CGTMSE scheme was launched to guarantee additional Rs.2 lakh crore to micro and small enterprises.

The IFRS 17 is an international financial reporting standard that was issued by the International Accounting Standards Board in 2017. It has become effective on January 1, 2023.
It will replace IFRS 4 on accounting for insurance contracts. The earlier application permitted as long as IFRS 9 is also applied.

The Stone of Scone, also referred to as the Stone of Destiny, is a red sandstone slab weighing 150kg. This stone has been a sacred and significant symbol of Scotland’s monarchy and national identity.
It was moved recently from Scotland’s Edinburgh Castle to London in preparation for King Charles III’s coronation.

The BAFTA Fellowship is the most prestigious accolade given by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) to an individual in acknowledgment of their exceptional and extraordinary contribution to film and/or television.
It was received recently by UK-based Indian-origin actor-writer Meera Syal.

Liberica excelsa is a species of coffee that is found to be capable of withstanding heat, drought and disease exacerbated by global warming.
It is being promoted by large coffee exporting countries in Africa as an alternative to Arabica and robusta, which are at risk to climate change.

The Windhoek Declaration, which was adopted in 1991, provides 19 principles related to “independent, pluralistic, and free press”.
Its adoption is commemorated as the World Press Freedom Day on May 3 each year. 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of World Press Freedom Day.
