Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, conferred the 4th National Water Awards, 2022. 41 winners, including joint winners across 11 categories were awarded for their work in the field of water conservation and management.

The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development (NaBFID) has raised ₹10,000 crore via maiden issuance of listed bonds of 10-year duration at a coupon rate of 7.43 per cent.
The development finance institution’s infrastructure bonds were oversubscribed by approximately 4.7 times, against the base issue of ₹5,000 crore. This is the largest debt issuance by an All India Financial Institution (AIFI).

The European Central Bank (ECB) decided to raise borrowing costs again in an effort to bring down inflation.
The ECB increased its three key interest rates by 25 basis points (bps), bringing its main rate to 3.5%, the highest it has been in 22 years. The bank has moved rates up at each of its meetings since last July.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for the Fintech City and Fintech Tower projects in Chennai.
The Fintech City, spanning 56 acres with an investment potential of ₹12,000 crore, will accommodate international and national BFSI institutions, promoting job creation for 80,000 individuals.

The Reserve Bank of India has prepared a 10-point action plan for strengthening cyber security in financial transactions.
This includes talks with tech companies Google and Apple to secure mobile devices and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) in cyber security design.

Airbnb has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Union Ministry of Tourism to showcase India’s heritage stays and promote cultural tourism.
