Galleri test is a multi-cancer blood test that can detect more than 50 types of cancer. The test effectively detected tumors in 66.67% of the 5,000 people in England and Wales.
In 85% of those positive cases, it also pinpointed the original site of cancer. The Galleri test looks for distinct changes in bits of genetic code that leak from different cancers.

The draft Master Directions on Cyber Resilience and Digital Payment Security Controls for PSOs was released recently by the Reserve Bank of India.
It is a governance framework that encompasses the processes of identifying, evaluating, overseeing, and controlling cybersecurity risks.

India’s GDP growth accelerated to 6.1% in the January to March 2023 quarter, according to the provisional national income data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO).
This has lifted the economy’s uptick in 2022-23 to 7.2% from the 7% estimated earlier. The Gross Value Added (GVA) in the economy rose to 7% in 2022-23.

June’s full moon, also known as the Strawberry Moon, rose on June 3. The moon will then reach new moon on June 18, at which point it will be totally lost in the sun’s glare.
The next full moon, July’s Buck Moon, will rise on Monday, July 3.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel disbursed a sum of Rs 20.18 crore to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana.
As of May 15, 2023, a total of Rs 518 crore 71 lakh has been disbursed under the Godhan Nyay Yojana to cow dung vendors, Gauthan committees, and women self-help groups, as part of the scheme’s initiatives.

Eco-Vizag Campaign was launched by the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) in Andhra Pradesh to promote public participation in combating air and plastic pollution.
It will focus on 5 components – eco-cleaning, greenery, water conservation, plastic ban and pollution reduction.

Françoise Gilot is a renowned painter known for her relationship with Pablo Picasso. She recently passed away at the age of 101.
Her memoir, “Life with Picasso,” was published in 1964 and it became an international best seller. Her painting “Paloma à la Guitare” (1965), a blue-toned portrait of her daughter, sold for USD 1.3 million in an online auction by Sotheby’s.

Air Defender 23 is the biggest air force exercise to be held by NATO. This 10-day military undertaking is primarily based in Germany.
It’s the biggest drill of its type since the military alliance was formed in 1949. The event will see 10,000 participants and 250 aircraft from 25 nations.

A report titled “Ignoring Red Lines: Violence Against Health Care in Conflict 2022” was released recently by Safeguarding Health in Conflict Coalition (SHCC), a group of international non-profits.
It revealed that the incidence of violence against healthcare workers in Mali increased by more than two-fold in 2022 in comparison to the previous year, 2021.
