‘Mission Mode Cataract Surgery’ campaign was organized across India for screening, testing and awareness about cataract.
In the ‘Mission Mode Cataract Surgery’ campaign, the Union Health Ministry surpassed the target of 75 lakh cataract surgeries in 2022-23, with approximately 83 lakh surgeries conducted this year.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan commissioned the first phase of the Kerala Fibre Optic Network (K-FON).
The project is aimed at providing free Internet access to 20 lakh below poverty line (BPL) families and connecting 30,000 government institutions, as well as providing Internet connection at nominal rate to the public.

Global DPI Summit and Global DPI Exhibition were inaugurated recently by Union Minister of State in Electronics and IT. Over 50 countries and 150 foreign delegates took part in Global DPI Summit, as the side event of third meeting of G20 Digital Economy Working Group.
During the summit, India signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with four countries namely Armenia, Sierra Leone, Suriname and Antigua and Barbuda on sharing INDIA STACK digital solutions.

Union Power ministry has asked Central Electricity Regulatory Authority (CERC) to initiate the process of coupling multiple power exchanges.
The mechanism seeks to ensure uniformity in price discovery of energy at trading platforms. At present India has three power exchanges — Indian Electricity Exchange (IEX), Power Exchange of India (PXIL) and Hindustan Power Exchange (HPX).

As per the data from MyGovIndia, India has recorded 89.5 million digital transactions in the year 2022 and has topped the list of five countries in digital payments,
India accounted for 46% of the global real-time payments and the digital payment transactions in India are more than the other four leading countries combined.

The fourth vessel named Sanshodhak belonging to Survey Vessels (Large) SVL Project of Indian Navy was recently launched at Kattupalli, Chennai. The vessel was built by L &T/ GRSE for Indian Navy.
The launch ceremony was presided Chief guest of Launch Ceremony was Vice Admiral Adhir Arora, Chief Hydrographer to Government of India. The ship named ‘Sanshodhak’, meaning ‘Researcher’, signifies primary role of ship as a Survey Vessel.

The maiden Janjatiya Khel Mahotsav was held recently in Bhubaneswar with Odisha emerging as overall champion.
The Mahotsav is a coordinated effort of the Union Ministry of Culture, Odisha Government, and KIIT University. The event witnessed participation of 5000 tribal athletes, 1000 officials of 2 states.
