Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) 20 Summit under India’s G20 Presidency commenced recently in Goa.
The Summit has called upon the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) to take measures for suitable integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in audit processes and tasks for improved audit efficiency and effectiveness.

The European Union-EU countries made adjustments to draft rules intended to provide employee benefits for workers in online companies like Uber and Deliveroo.
EU countries propose that companies will be considered employers if they meet three out of seven criteria.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) has signed a MoU with Amazon Kisan for guiding farmers on scientific cultivation of different crops for optimum yield and income.
Under the agreement, ICAR will provide technological backstopping to the farmers through Amazon’s network. It will improve farmers’ livelihood and boost crop yield.

The non-profit Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) has released its annual report in which Telangana was ranked in the top in terms of overall environmental performance.
Telangana was ranked at the top for its progress in increasing its forest cover and in municipal waste treatment.

The first-ever national conference of tribal writers was recently held in Jammu and Kashmir.
Its participants have set up a forum to safeguard authentic tribal literature and encourage youngsters to showcase their unique culture through writings.

The world is observing International Albinism Awareness Day on June 13 as the United Nations effort to stop the brutalities against people with albinism.
Albinism is a genetically inherited condition resulting in little or no melanin in the skin, hair, and eyes, causing vulnerability to the sun and bright light. The theme of this year’s celebration of International Albinism Awareness Day is “Inclusion is strength.”

The maiden Janjatiya Khel Mahotsav was held recently in Bhubaneswar with Odisha emerging as overall champion.
The Mahotsav is a coordinated effort of the Union Ministry of Culture, Odisha Government, and KIIT University. The event witnessed participation of 5000 tribal athletes, 1000 officials of 2 states.

PPPININDIA is a website dedicated to promoting and facilitating Public Private Partnerships in India and helps in bridging the gap between the public and private sectors. It brings together government entities, private companies, investors and entrepreneurs for sustainable growth.

A Phase III clinical trial has demonstrated that the live chikungunya vaccine provides a high level of protection. The vaccine demonstrated a very high response rate of 98.9 per cent in participants 28 days after receiving the single administration.

Researchers have successfully generated artificial human embryos utilizing stem cells. This process bypasses the conventional requirement for eggs and sperm in the embryonic formation process.
Model embryos, which resemble those in the earliest stages of human development, could provide a crucial window on the impact of genetic disorders and the biological causes of recurrent miscarriage. The primary objective of this work is to shed light on the “black box” period of human development, which is limited to 14 days under current regulations.
