The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Navy participated in a passage exercise with the carrier strike group (CSG) of the US Navy. This exercise was carried out south of Thiruvananthapuram on the western seaboard.
On Indian front, Sukhoi aircraft, Jaguars, IAF refuelling aircraft and warships and maritime patrol aircrafts participated.

Notes:
The state-owned insurance company Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched a web-based and workflow-based IT platform named “e PGS”.
This new platform has been designed and enabled for centralized collection and payment accounting of the corporation with a high level of bank integration. The system can also provide self-servicing capabilities under which corporate customers can view their data, initiate processes, lodge and track.

India’s premier think tank the NITI Aayog had convened a National Convention on Prevention of Maternal, Adolescent and Childhood Obesity.
NITI Aayog described obesity as a silent epidemic. It also called for a multi-sectoral approach to target the adolescents for promoting activity and healthy lifestyle. Global experts and representatives from UN bodies including UNICEF, WHO and WFP participated.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fired an extended range version of indigenously developed “Pinaka” rocket.
25 Enhanced Pinaka Rockets were test fired at Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur off the coast of Odisha. The 122 mm Caliber rockets were launched from a Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL).

Scientifically referred to as Hylocereusundatus, the dragon fruit is called as ‘Kamalam’ in India, due to its resemblance to a lotus flower.
Recently, India exported its first consignment of the Dragon Fruit sourced from the farmers of Sangli district, Maharashtra to Dubai, as per the announcement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight tested the new generation nuclear-capable ballistic missile, Agni-P from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha.
Agni P is an advanced variant of the Agni class of missiles and is a canisterised missile with a range capability between 1000km and 2000 km.

Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana was launched to incentivize employers for creation of new employment along with social security benefits during COVID-19 pandemic. It is implemented by the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
In the recent package, the Finance Minister announced that Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Rozgar Yojana be extended till 31st March 2022.

UK’s financial regulator has banned Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, from conducting any regulated activity.
The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) also issued a warning to consumers about the platform. Trading of cryptocurrencies is not directly regulated in Britain, whereas offering services such as trading in cryptocurrency derivatives requires authorisation.

Mastercard has announced a strategic equity investment in Instamojo, to support MSMEs and Gig workers.
The investment will provide solutions to set up online stores, equip with digital payment acceptance capabilities and reach out to customers. Instamojo helps small merchants create a platform to quickly set up an e-commerce business.

Leaders of China and Russia officially announced to extend the China-Russia Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness and Friendly Cooperation (TGNFC).
It is a 20-year-old bilateral agreement on friendship and cooperation signed between the two countries in 2001. The US and the EU have been pushing against both the countries over human rights and a set of other issues.
