Notes:
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation has announced its plan to convert Sector 50 metro station into a ‘she-man’ metro station.
Once implemented, this would be the first She-Man station of North India with special facilities for employment opportunities to the transgender community. This station will be on the lines of the Pink Metro stations. Though the ‘She-Man’ station will be open for all passengers, it will cater especially to the transgender passengers.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) of Maharashtra launched ‘Mission Zero’ rapid action plan to combat Covid-19.
Under the action plan, as many as fifty dispensary vans will cover various parts of Mumbai for 2-3 weeks to carry out a preliminary examination of patients. As per the data of the Ministry of Health and Family welfare, Maharashtra stands at the top spot with maximum number of people affected by Covid-19 in the country.

Jharkhand is set to become the first state to launch an employment guarantee scheme for urban poor on the lines of the Mahatma Gandhi Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
The scheme named ‘Mukhyamantri Shramik Yojna’ will guarantee 100 days of work in a financial year for urban unskilled labourers. Under the scheme, if the person doesn’t get work within 15 days of request, unemployment allowance would be given. An urban employment guarantee council would be formed, headed by the Chief Minister and Urban development minister as the vice president.

Every year the United Nations Public Service day is observed on June 23 to honour people engaged in public service, around the world.
On 20 December 2002, the United General Assembly designated 23 June as UN Public Service Day. The United Nations also established the UN Public Service Awards (UNPSA) programme in 2003, to recognise the UN Public Service Day and to encourage youngsters to take up their career in public sector.

According to the new study published in the Astronomical Journal, the researchers have detected the exoplanet HIP 67522 b.
The exoplanet appears to be the youngest hot Jupiter ever found. It also orbits around a well-studied star that is about 17 million years old. This means that the hot Jupiter is only a few million years younger probably. As most known hot Jupiters are more than a billion years old, this is likely the youngest hot Jupiter.

Government e-Marketplace (GeM), the online procurement platform for government bodies, has made the sellers mandatory to mention the ‘country of origin’ while registering all new products.
GeM is a special purpose vehicle under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Besides mandating fresh sellers, the GeM also mandates the sellers who had already uploaded their products to update the ‘country of origin’, with a warning that their products shall be removed if they fail to update.

Moody’s Investor Service has released the June update of its flagship Global Macro Outlook report. It has estimated that India’s GDP growth would be -3.1% this year.
It had earlier estimated the growth to be 0.2% in April. The report also projected that India’s GDP would grow at 6.9% in the fiscal year 2021-22, as compared to 6.2% estimated in the April update. It has lowered its estimates for all major economies.

Haritha Haram is a tree-planting program implemented by Telangana to increase the amount of tree cover in the state.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has recently launched the sixth phase of Haritha Haram programme. He also inaugurated the Narsapur Urban Forest Park and examined the Forest revival programme being implemented in Narsapur forest area.

Commonwealth Games gold medal winning weightlifter K. Sanjita Chanu, is to receive the prestigious Arjuna award for 2018.
The sportsperson was recently acquitted from doping charges, by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) earlier this month. She had won gold medals in two Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018. This news was announced by the Indian Weightlifting Federation, after the approval of Sports Ministry.

The Chief Minister of Gujarat has launched a new initiative called “At One Click”, to aid MSMEs and Textile Industries.
An aid of Rs 1,369 crore for micro small and medium enterprises and textile industries was launched during the session. ”At One Click” is an online cash aid initiative aims to cover 13,000 MSMEs in Gujarat, by providing financial assistance directly in their bank accounts.
