Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology notified nine officials to act as members of Grievance Appellate Committees (GAC).
The Centre established three Grievance Appellate Committees based on the recently amended Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 (“IT Rules 2021”). Three Committees have been constituted with three members each.

Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, EPFO, launched a massive outreach programme in all the districts through a revamped ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ programme.
The aim of this programme is to reach all the districts on 27th of every month and strengthen the relationship between the organization and its stakeholders.

The 15th BRICS summit will take place this year in late August in South Africa’s Durban. The announcement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei in Eritrea.
In 2013, the fifth annual BRICS summit was held in Durban, South Africa. BRICS was formed in 2006. In April 2011, for the first time, South Africa participated in the 3rd BRICS Summit.

Steelbird has launched a new helmet named Ignyte IGN-7 to meet ECE 22.06 European certification for the first time.
It is also the first helmet in India to receive triple homologation as it conforms to DOT FMVSS Noy, 218 for US market and India’s BIS safety standards.

The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has emerged as the world’s largest derivatives exchange in 2022, in terms of the number of contracts traded.
This is the fourth consecutive year when the exchange earned the top spot, according to the Futures Industry Association (FIA). In addition, the exchange was ranked third in the equity segment by the number of trades in 2022.

World Leprosy Day is observed every year on the last Sunday of January. In India, it is observed on 30th January every year, coinciding with the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Leprosy is a neglected tropical disease (NTD) which occurs in more than 120 countries, with more than 200 000 new cases reported every year. India’s Health Minister released National Strategic Plan and Roadmap for Leprosy (2023-27) and National Guidelines for Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) Surveillance in leprosy along with launch of Nikusth 2.0 Portal.

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has started exports of aviation gasoline, which is used to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and small planes.
For the first time in the nation’s history, India is exporting fuel. The first consignment of 80 barrels of aviation gas named ‘AV gas 100 LL’ was shipped from the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) to Papua New Guinea.

Ernakulam in Kerala has been named as the first district to achieve registration of 10,000 new MSMEs.
This will help boost the contribution of MSMEs by generating new jobs and diversifying India’s GDP. The availability of highly skilled Human Resources and the good industrial infrastructure are among the key reasons for its excellent communication and networking systems.

Odisha’s Health Minister Naba Kishore Das died after being shot by a policeman. He died after he was shot by a policeman at Gandhi Chhak in Brajrajnagar area of Jharsuguda district, where he had gone to attend an event.
The shooter was identified as Gopal Das, who was posted in the Gandhi Chowk police outpost of. He had earlier served the Minister in the capacity of his personal security officer.

In Pakistan, the federal government has announced an increase in prices of petrol and diesel by 35 rupees.
With this, petrol has reached 249.80 rupees per litre, while diesel prices have been raised to 262.80 rupees per litre. The Kerosene oil and light diesel oil prices also hiked by 18 rupees per litre. Last week, the Pakistani rupee lost close to 12 per cent of its value.
