Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, EPFO, launched a massive outreach programme in all the districts through a revamped ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ programme.
The aim of this programme is to reach all the districts on 27th of every month and strengthen the relationship between the organization and its stakeholders.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced an all-13-member female panel of match officials for the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
The 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in next month in South Africa. The Indian trio of GS Lakshmi, Vrinda Rathi, and Janani Narayanan are included in the group.

The Ministry of Defence was the top procuring ministry of goods and services from MSME sellers in the calendar year 2022.
This was announced by the government’s public procurement e-commerce marketplace Government e-Marketplace (GeM). The ministry has purchased products and services worth Rs 16,747 crore in 2022 from the portal.

Tata Trusts are setting up endowment funding entities on the lines of the US-based Burroughs Wellcome Fund.
This is aimed at reducing dependence on dividend income earned from Tata Sons. The Burroughs Wellcome Fund is an independent foundation dedicated to advance medical sciences by supporting research.

Under India’s G20 Presidency, the First Employment Working Group meeting is organized at Jodhpur from 2-4 February 2023.
The Ministry of Labour and Employment is leading the discussions for the Employment Working Group (EWG). Delegates from the G20 countries, Guest countries, International and National Organisations and other international and national experts attended the discussion.

The Indian Coast Guard celebrated its 47th anniversary of its distinguished service’ to the nation. Its motto is ‘VAYAM RAKSHAMAH’ meaning ‘We Protect’.
The Indian Coast Guard over these four and half decades has been patrolling the country’s maritime border. It stands tall as the fourth largest Coast Guard in the world.

Union Sports Ministry formed an Oversight Committee to probe allegations against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
Former wrestler Babita Phogat has joined the Oversight Committee panel. The Oversight Committee is also conducting an enquiry into the allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment, intimidation, financial irregularities and administrative lapses of WFI.

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) implemented by National Skill Development Corporation.
The Union Budget 2023 aims to give a push to job creation through proposals such as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0 and setting up of 30 Skill India international centres to encourage expansion in businesses and industry.

India and the USA have agreed to constitute task force to boost cooperation in semiconductor industry.
The task force will involve India’s Semiconductor Mission, India Electronics Semiconductor Association and the US Semiconductor Industry Association.  This was announced during the inaugural meeting of the initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (iCET).

Union Finance Minister announced an initiative called MISHTI ‘Mangrove Initiative for Shoreline Habitats and Tangible Incomes’.
Under the scheme, mangrove plantations will be taken up along the country’s coastline apart from salt pans, wherever feasible, through the convergence of the job guarantee scheme MGNREGS, the Compensatory Afforestation Fund, and other sources.
