Researchers of United Kingdom have proposed to start the world’s first Covid-19 human trials on a healthy immune system.
The study is expected to give an understanding on how a health immune system would respond to the virus infection and bring about various metabolic changes in the body

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) has proposed to launch World Solar Bank (WSB).
This is proposed to be launched at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Glasgow that is scheduled to be held in November 2021. The ISA is an intergovernmental treaty-based organization headquartered in India.

The RBI Act was amended, under which inflation target is set by the Central government, in consultation with the RBI, once every five years.
As the five-year term for the Monetary Policy Committee’s (MPC’s) inflation-targeting framework is to end this March, the inflation target band of 2-6 per cent is also to be reviewed.

Home Minister Amit Shah released a book narrating the history of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Titled as the ‘Rashtra Pratham – 82 Varshon Ki Swarnim Gatha’, it includes thorough-researched articles on the journey, challenges and successes of CRPF, since 1939, the year of its raising.

Central American country Nicaragua has created a new National Ministry for Extra-terrestrial Space Affairs, the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies.
The Ministry is set to promote the development of space activities, with the aim of broadening the country’s exposure in the fields of education, industry, science and technology.

In the month of February, it was reported that six female elephants and a calf were found dead in the Karlapat wildlife sanctuary, Odisha.
Recently, a three-member Central team found the decomposed carcass of an elephant calf near the wildlife sanctuary, making the number of elephant deaths in the sanctuary seven. It is said that the spread of haemorrhagic septicemia (HS) is the reason for the elephant deaths.

CSIR-Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) is conducting a pan India survey of feet scanning. The results of the survey would define the footwear size standards in India.
Sizes with the measuring standards named ‘EU’, ‘UK’ or ‘US’ are commonly followed in India, while making and in buying. After the survey, the institute will formulate a standard so that India will have its own ‘Footwear Sizing System’.

As per the media reports, women in Saudi Arabia can enter the military, where they can be employed as soldiers, lance corporals, corporals, sergeants, and staff sergeants.
The plan to allow women into the military was first announced in 2019. In the same year the kingdom announced that women can leave the country without permission from a male relative. The kingdom is continuously expanding the scope of women in various professions.

The state Government of Uttar Pradesh presented the first paperless budget of Rs 5.50 lakh crore in the state.
The budget for the Financial Year 2021-22 was presented by the state’s Finance Minister Suresh Khanna. All members of the UP Legislative Assembly were given tablets to read the budget and a mobile app called “Uttar Pradesh Sarkar ka Budget” was also launched.

After the Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy lost the confidence vote on the floor of the Legislative Assembly, the UT’s Congress-DMK government collapsed.
The Chief Minister tendered his resignation to the Lt Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, with only around four months remaining for completion of its tenure.
