The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has appointed an external professional IT firm to carry out a special audit of the entire IT infrastructure of the bank
Earlier, the RBI had penalised the HDFC bank for repeated service failures in internet banking, mobile banking, and payment utilities. This step has been taken by the RBI using the powers conferred under the Banking regulation act, 1949.

Indian-American Bhavya Lal has been appointed as the acting chief of staff of the US space agency, NASA.
She was earlier serving as a member of the research staff at the Institute for Defence Analyses- Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI). She had served in several important positions related to space sector.

Amazon has moved the Delhi High Court against Future Retail for selling its retail assets to Reliance Retail.
Amazon alleges that the ₹24,713 crore worth Future-Reliance deal violates its own contract with the Future Group. The Delhi High Court asked Future retail to maintain status quo. Earlier the Singapore Arbitration gave the Emergency Arbitrator (EA) award in favour of Amazon.

The Union Jal Shakti Ministry has recently launched a unified portal on the ‘Gobardhan’ scheme. The portal aims to monitor the progress made under the scheme.
The Gobardhan scheme was launched by the Government of India to manage cattle and biodegradable waste and also help enhance farmers’ income. It is being implemented under the Swachch Bharat Mission Grameen-Phase 2.

India’s Foreign portfolio investment (FPIs) has reached a new height as the net FPI in Indian equities crossed the mark of $31.7 billion, during the current financial year.
This is the highest investment in a financial year since FY 2012-23, in India. During that year, India recorded a net FPO inflow of $25.8 billion.

Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu warned the Member of Parliaments against recording proceedings of the House on mobile phones.
He also stated that such unauthorised recordings and its circulation on social media is breaching the Parliamentary privilege and contempt of the House

The first meeting of the Joint Working Group in the field of Renewable Energy between India and the Kingdom of Bahrain was held recently in virtual format
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between India and Bahrain in July 2018, for promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of Renewable Energy. The meeting focussed on enhanced cooperation in the field of solar, wind and clean hydrogen.

Andhra Pradesh became the second State in the country to undertake the power sector reforms stipulated by the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.
The state has been granted permission to mobilise additional financial resources equivalent to 0.15 per cent of its Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), which means an additional borrowing of Rs 1,515 crore.

As per the information tracked by Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), as many as 2,90,445 cyber security incidents related to digital banking, were reported in 2020.
In 2018 and 2019, the number of security incidents were 1.59 lakhs and 2.46 lakhs respectively. As per the Electronics and IT Ministry, the cyber security incidents include viruses, phishing attacks, network scanning and probing, and website hacking.

The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a new bus ticket booking service through its new microsite.
The new feature allows passengers to book bus tickets online. IRCTC has tied up with over 50000 state road transport and private bus operators, covering 22 states and three union territories. IRCTC already provides online railway and flight tickets.
