India recorded sales of USD 3.23 billion (about Rs 26,852 crore) in 2022, moving it up to position 11 in the global ranking for direct selling, according to a study by the World Federation of Direct Selling Association (WFDSA).
As per the WFDSA report, last year, India’s direct selling registered a growth of 5.4 per cent over 2021 retail sales. India has the highest Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of almost 13.3 per cent over the previous three years, measured in constant dollars.

Iran unveiled its latest domestically built drone named “Mohajer-10” with enhanced capabilities like flying at a higher altitude, for a longer duration and the ability to carry a greater payload.
The new drone can fly up to a maximum duration of 24 hours at an altitude of 7,000 metres with an operational range of 2,000 kilometres. The payload capacity can reach 300 kilograms, double the capacity of the “Mohajer-6” drone.

The National Health Authority (NHA) had recently announced 100 Microsites project for accelerated adoption of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) across the country.
In  this regard, the state of Mizoram becomes the first in India to operationalize an ABDM Microsite in its capital city Aizawl. Under this, all healthcare facilities including the private clinics, small hospitals and labs in the region shall be made ABDM-enabled and will offer digital health services to the patients.

The Scientists at Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) in association with the Khalifa University, U.A.E., have developed heat management for miniature electronic devices, particularly for space applications.
High-performance computing processors can generate up to 200-250 W or more of power, resulting in heat loads of up to 1 kW, necessitating efficient heat management. The research design uses thin plate electrodes that introduce swirling flows of cooling liquid inside mini-channel fluids, which result in the better heat transfer.

India became the fourth country to successfully land on the moon as the Chandrayaan-3’s lander module.
ISRO’s ambitious third Moon mission Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module (LM) touched down on the lunar surface. This makes it only the fourth country to accomplish the feat, and first to reach the uncharted south pole of Earth’s only natural satellite.

Tata AutoComp has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Skoda Group, a leading European manufacturer of components and vehicles for public transport.
The agreement sets the framework for a strategic joint venture aimed at producing components for the growing Indian railway and public mobility market.

Fair trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI) issued the draft regulations for commitment and settlement provisions under the competition law.
The provisions, introduced in the Competition Act through the amendments made earlier this year, are aimed at ensuring quicker market correction.

The President of Greece, Katerina Sakellaropoulou conferred Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with The Grand Cross of the Order of Honour. The Order of Honour was established in 1975.
The Honour is conferred by the President of Greece to Prime Ministers and eminent personalities who by reason of their distinguished position, have contributed to enhancing the stature of Greece.

The G20 Trade and Investment Ministers’ meeting concluded at Jaipur, called the Pink City of India. The meeting was led by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry.
Under India’s Presidency, the G20 Trade and Investment Ministerial reached a groundbreaking consensus on five concrete and action-oriented deliverables which have been adopted in the Outcome Document of Trade Ministerial Meeting held in Jaipur. G20 Ministers also issued a Jaipur Call for Action for enhancing access to information for MSMEs.

The Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF) was finally ratified and launched at the Seventh Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in Vancouver, Canada.
Governments, non-profits and the private sector can now contribute their funds here to ensure that the world meets the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) formulated by the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) by 2030. Canada and the United Kingdom have already donated 200 million Canadian dollars and 10 million pounds respectively to the GBFF.
