India’s Ministry of development of north eastern region (MDoNER) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) joined hands to enhance and fast track sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the northeastern region.
UNDP will support in monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, support for aspirational districts and blocks, and the deployment of emerging technologies in governance.

Sachin Tendulkar signed a three-year memorandum of understanding with the ECI, in an event held in New Delhi. During the event Chief election commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar and election commissioners were preset.

The India’s largest lender State Bank of India has made a AI based model using Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with 30 high frequency indicators, using which the Bank has forecasted India’s GDP growth for the April -June quarter at 8.3 per cent.
This is higher than the projection made by the Monetary Policy Committee’s projection of 8 per cent. The projection report has listed good growth in manufacturing and picking up of services as reasons for higher growth.

National Judicial Data Grid (NJDG) is a database of orders, judgments and case details of 18,735 District & Subordinate Courts and High Courts created as an online platform under the eCourts Project.
It provides data relating to judicial proceedings/decisions of all computerized district and subordinate courts of the country.

Food regulator FSSAI said a central advisory committee has recommended that licenses to food business operators (FBOs) can be issued for up to five years instead of one year.
FSSAI will train the food handlers in hygiene protocols such as Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP).

The G20 Pandemic Fund has granted USD 25 million to India’s animal husbandry and dairying department to aid pandemic preparedness and response.
According to the Ministry of fisheries, animal husbandry & dairying, this funding will improve India’s animal health system, a crucial part of the One Health approach for pandemic prevention.

Siebold’s water snake, a mildly venomous species, is being sighted regularly on the Yamuna floodplain since the beginning of the monsoon in June this year, say ecologists. This suggests that the species has made its way back to its natural habitat. The species is endemic to Asia.
The snake was said to have disappeared from Delhi for decades and its presence was later confirmed in 2015.

The Global Biodiversity Framework Fund (GBFF) was finally ratified and launched at the Seventh Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in Vancouver, Canada.
Governments, non-profits and the private sector can now contribute their funds here to ensure that the world meets the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) formulated by the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) by 2030. Canada and the United Kingdom have already donated 200 million Canadian dollars and 10 million pounds respectively to the GBFF.

India and Greece upgraded their relations to a strategic partnership and pledged to double two-way trade by 2030 during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.
This is the first by an Indian premier to the European country in four decades. The two sides further decided to speedily finalise a mobility and migration partnership agreement to facilitate skilled migration.
