The Chief Minister of Rajasthan – Ashok Gehlot has recently launched the state government’s Annapurna Food Packet Scheme which aims to distribute food packets to more than 10.4 million families for free every month.
This scheme is part of ‘Inflation Relief Package’ as announced by the state government in its budget to provide relief to the public.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) launched a Centralised Web Portal UDGAM (Unclaimed Deposits – Gateway to Access inforMation).
The launch of the web portal will aid users to identify their unclaimed deposits/ accounts and enable them to either claim the deposit amount or make their deposit accounts operative at their respective banks.

India and Trinidad and Tobago have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on sharing of INDIA STACK.
It is a collection of open APIs and digital public goods that aim to facilitate identity, data, and payment services on a large scale.

The Technology Development Board (TDB), operating under the Department of Science & Technology (DST), announced its strategic partnership with Chemlife Innovations headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
This collaboration marks a significant stride in advancing the project titled “Commercialization and Manufacturing of Bio-Trace Minerals used in Feed for Animals”.

The Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal unveiled a vision for India’s maritime sector, outlining key initiatives at the 19th Maritime States Development Council meeting in Kevadia, Gujarat.
Global Maritime India Summit 2023 is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from 17th-19th October 2023.

Moody’s Investors Service affirmed its Baa3 rating on India and maintained the stable outlook, but warned of political issues and even cited the example of the ongoing violence in Manipur.
The rating agency said the affirmation of India’s rating and stable outlook was driven by its view that the economy is set to grow rapidly by international standards, although potential growth has declined in the last 7-10 years.

The Government raised the quantum of onion buffer to 5.00 lakh metric tonne this year, after achieving the initial procurement target of 3.00 lakh metric tonne.
The Department of Consumer Affairs has directed NCCF and NAFED to procure 1.00 lakh tonne each to achieve the additional procurement target alongside calibrated disposal of the procured stocks in major consumption centres. As on date, about 1,400 MT of onions from the buffer has been dispatched to the targeted markets.

A 14-member committee chaired by former NITI Aayog CEO and India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, was constituted to examine stalled real estate projects and recommend ways to complete them.
The committee was set up in March by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. It included officials of Union Finance Ministry, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana state governments, IBBI, NHB and RERA of Haryana and UP. The report has been handed over to Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Puri.

Indian Coast Guard has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on enhanced maritime cooperation.
Both the sides held their first bilateral meeting on a range of maritime issues. The MoU inked seeks to enhance the professional linkage between the two Coast Guards in the domain of Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE), Maritime Search and Rescue (M-SAR) and Marine Pollution Response (MPR).
