Jehanabad district in Bihar has become the first district to have 100% digital banking. Out of 1013438 active account holders, 1009895 are using at least one of digital banking products like Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, Debit Card, UPI and other similar facilities. This account for 99.65 percent of the total active account.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) conferred its ‘Covid Women Warrior’ award 2021 to Two Women from Bihar namely Vibha Kumari Singh and Garima Malik.

It was established in 2011 to work voluntarily at Block & District level, making them Global. It has City Chapters as well as International Chapters. It has drafted the Startup policy for Government of Bihar and has setup free Incubation and Innovation Centre in Patna. It has been invited by Government of 5 Countries including US, China, Israel, Netherland. It has also been appreciated NITI Aayog.

Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) sanctioned the construction of a 100-bedded hospital in Muzaffarpur, in March 2021. This project will cost about Rs 198 crores. It will be constructed over 15 acres land, in Shri Krishna Medical College of Muzaffarpur.

According to Bihar Economic Survey 2020-21, Sheohar has the lowest per capita income of 11383. Bihar has the lowest per capita income in India at at Rs 5772, as opposed to national average of Rs 22,946. However, Patna recorded a per capita of Rs 30441, more than national average.

The Consumer Confidence Survey 2020 was conducted by Reserve Bank of India in May 2020 while its result was released in June 2020. Consumer Confidence Index (CCI) survey is conducted every two months for measuring how pessimistic or optimistic the consumers are regarding their financial situation. Main variables of this survey are Employment, Economic situation, Income, Price Level, and Spending. In 2020, this survey was conducted across thirteen major cities namely, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bhopal, Guwahati, Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram and Patna.

Documentary Film ‘Umeed’ has been produced by Media Center of Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour. It was selected for the 5th National Film Festival Award. It is a 21-minute film, based on theme of changing lifestyles of tribal community of Banka and Kishanganj districts of Bihar.

Navya scheme was launched on October 2, 2021, by Gulmohar Maitri Sanstha to fight against womb cancer. For this, people will be made aware of uterine cancer as well as how important it is to vaccinate girls.

The Bihar government appointed additional chief secretary S. Siddharth as the principal secretary to CM Nitish Kumar. He will continue to head the finance department in the same rank at the same time. Siddharth will fill the post vacated by Chanchal Kumar, who has gone on central deputation.
