Gautam Buddha attained enlightenment on the bank of river Niranjana. He attained the enlightenment on the night of Vaishakh Purnima while sitting below the Sacred Fig Tree i.e. Peepal tree in the state of Samadhi. The tree is now known as the Bodhi Tree.

According to Koppen’s climate classiffication, the maximum area of Bihar lies in Cwg and Aw category. The Koppen climate classification system is one of the most common climate classification systems in the world. It is used to denote different climate regions on Earth based on local vegetation, monthly values of temperature and vegetation. Koppen identified five major climatic types: tropical climates, dry climates, warm climates, snow climates and ice climates.
Cwg means Monsoon type with dry winters and Aw means Tropical Savannah type.

The proposed organic food factory is to be set up at Chandi in Nalanda district of Bihar. Chandi is a small town in Nalanda. The town’s name is taken from the Hindu Goddess Chandi Devi. A temple is built in the town which is dedicated to her.

Nagadasaka was the last ruler of Haryanka dynasty. He ruled from 437 to 413 BC. He was overthrowned by Shishunaga who was the minister in Haryanka dynasty. Shishunaga established the Shishunaga dynasty and made Vaishali its capital.

Mahapadma Nanda was the first ruler to merge Kalinga with the Magadha empire. He founded the Nanda empire and he was the first emperor of the Nanda empire according to the Puranas. Kalinga was conquered by Mahapadma Nanda but it  seceded from the Magadha empire sometime after the fall of the Nanda dynasty. It was later reconquered by the Mauryan king Ashoka.

Bihar is the 12th largest state of India in terms of area and it occupies 2.86% area of India. The total area of the state is 94,163 square kilometer.

CM Nitish Kumar inaugurated the largest animal feed factory at Bihia, Bhojpur. The animal feed factory will produce 300 metric tonnes of fodder every day. The aim is to increase the cattle rearing capacity of milking animals by providing fodder at low cost.
