India will mark the 76th anniversary of the adoption of its Constitution with a national ceremony at Samvidhan Sadan, where President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the celebrations. The ceremony will take place in the Central Hall on 26 November, with the President delivering an address to Members of both Houses at 11 a.m. Vice President C.P. Launch of Multilingual Constitution Versions
A translated edition of the Constitution of India will be released in nine languages, including Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia and Assamese. A commemorative booklet titled “Bharat ke Samvidhan main Kala aur Calligraphy” will be introduced, reflecting the artistic traditions associated with constitutional history.
Nationwide Activities Marking Samvidhan Divas
Union ministries, state governments and local bodies will hold events ranging from debates and seminars to cultural programmes and exhibitions. Citizens may participate by reading the Preamble online, generating certificates of participation and taking part in quizzes and essay contests under the theme “Hamara Samvidhan – Hamara Swabhiman”. Activities will extend from Panchayat-level institutions to Parliament.
