PM Modi to Launch Tribal Development Projects on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil development initiatives worth ₹9,700 crore in Gujarat on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas. The projects focus on enhancing infrastructure, welfare, education and connectivity in tribal-dominated regions, marking a significant push toward inclusive growth.

Celebration of Birsa Munda’s 150th Birth Anniversary

During his visit to Dediapada, the Prime Minister will participate in the 150th birth anniversary celebration of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. As part of the event, he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for multiple schemes aimed at strengthening facilities in remote tribal settlements.

Housing and Community Welfare Initiatives

A key highlight of the programme is the Grih Pravesh for one lakh houses constructed under PM-JANMAN and DA-JAGUA schemes. These initiatives aim to support tribal families through improved housing, community-driven development and access to basic services in villages across the region.

Education, Skill Development and Cultural Infrastructure

The Prime Minister will inaugurate 42 Eklavya Model Residential Schools valued at around ₹1,900 crore to expand educational access for tribal students. Additional facilities include 228 Multipurpose Centres for community activities, a Centre of Competence in Assam Medical College, and a Tribal Research Institute building in Imphal to support cultural preservation and academic research.
