PM MITRA Textile Park Phase I Planned in Kalaburagi
The first phase of the PM MITRA Textile Park near Kalaburagi has a finalised infrastructure blueprint and administrative framework as of 12 June 2026. The project covers 1,000 acres and falls under the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel scheme, which is a Central Government textile infrastructure programme.
Project Framework and Approvals

A review meeting on 11 June 2026 in Bengaluru covered the project’s first-phase preparation.
Infrastructure and Funding Pattern
The project is eligible for Development Capital Support from the Central Government. The support can cover up to 30% of the total project cost, with a ceiling of ₹500 crore. The grant will fund internal infrastructure such as roads, water supply, electricity supply, a Common Effluent Treatment Plant, and hostel facilities.
Implementing Agency and Industrial Features
The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board will develop the first phase of the park. The park is planned as a plug-and-play industrial facility, which is a common model in industrial parks where basic utilities and site readiness are provided before unit allotment.
