Parosmia

Parosmia

Parosmia is a medical condition in which the sense of smell of the individual is distorted. The affected individual may be able to detect certain smells but other odours are experienced as being different or unpleasant. This is different from anosmia, which is the loss of smell. It occurs in individuals who had suffered an injury or are recovering from a virus attack. Parosmia is being associated with COVID-19.
