NLC India to Develop 110MW Solar Plant in Uttar Pradesh

NLC India Limited (NLCIL), a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Union Ministry of Coal, has taken a significant step towards renewable energy expansion with a new solar power project in Uttar Pradesh. The company has received a Letter of Acceptance from the National Capital Region Transport Corporation Limited (NCRTC) for setting up a large grid-connected solar photovoltaic plant.

The 110MW solar project will be developed in Uttar Pradesh under an arrangement involving NCRTC, a joint venture of the Union government and the governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. NCRTC will execute the project through a dedicated joint venture company. It will be responsible for setting up, commissioning, operating and maintaining the solar photovoltaic plant. The solar power plant is expected to be completed within 24 months from the signing of the power purchase agreement.
