Nitin Gadkari Launches Upgraded RAJMARG PRAVESH Portal
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari launched the upgraded RAJMARG PRAVESH web portal to streamline the process of obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for access and utility works along National Highways. The initiative aims to simplify procedures, enhance transparency and promote ease of doing business.
The portal enables hassle-free online applications for permissions related to fuel stations, wayside amenities, private properties, rest area complexes and connecting roads along National Highways.
Simplified and Transparent Approval Process
The improved RAJMARG PRAVESH portal has been developed to ensure a faster, more transparent and time-bound approval mechanism. Citizens, businesses and organisations can apply online for highway access permissions linked to private properties, industrial units and other facilities.
The digital platform eliminates the need for physical submissions and reduces administrative delays, thereby improving efficiency in project execution and infrastructure development.
Utility Permissions Along Highways
The portal also facilitates permissions for laying utilities such as water pipelines, gas pipelines, optical fibre cables, electrical transmission lines and other services along or across National Highways.
Both government and private agencies can use the platform to obtain approvals in a streamlined manner, ensuring coordinated development of essential infrastructure.
Strengthening Infrastructure Governance
Senior officials present at the launch included Secretary (Road Transport and Highways) V. Umashankar, DG (Road Development) Vinay Kumar Rajawat, NHAI Chairman Santosh Kumar Yadav and NHIDCL Managing Director Krishan Kumar, among others.
