National Language Translation Mission

National Language Translation Mission (NTLM) was announced by the Finance Minister during her budget speech recently. It comes in response to the increased demands for online services in local Indian languages. Currently, most online contents are only available in English language. The proposed mission will ensure that the digital content is accessible to Indian users not having knowledge of English language. This comes as a boon amid the growing digital penetration in the country during the pandemic.
