Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam 2025 Celebrates Telugu Music Heritage
The Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Sangeet Natak Academy, is hosting the third edition of Krishnaveni Sangeetha Neerajanam in Vijayawada on 6 and 7 December 2025. Supported by Andhra Pradesh Tourism and the State Department of Culture, the festival highlights the depth of Telugu musical traditions while promoting cultural identity and music tourism.
Festival Inauguration and Objectives
The festival will be inaugurated by the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Culture, Shri Kandula Durgesh, in the presence of elected representatives and senior officials from the Union and State tourism bodies. This year’s theme focuses on strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s cultural ethos, supporting weavers and artisans, and positioning Vijayawada as a leading destination for Carnatic music.
Concerts, Venues and Special Performances
A total of 18 concerts featuring 98 artists are scheduled across two days. The primary venue, Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalakshetram, will host the performances. A special dawn offering of the Pancharatna Kritis at Durga Ghat on 7 December will be led by the Malladi Brothers, accompanied by faculty and students from government music colleges of Vijayawada and Guntur.
Prequel Concerts and Cultural Outreach
To widen participation across the state, three prequel concerts were conducted at prominent temple venues: Srikalahasti on 29 November, Simhachalam on 1 December and Srisailam on 2 December 2025. These concerts celebrated devotional and classical traditions, building anticipation for the main festival.

Craft Exhibitions and Tourism Promotion
A curated exhibition will showcase GI-tagged and traditional crafts including Kondapalli toys, Etikoppaka lacquerware, Udayagiri cutlery, leather puppetry, Narsapur lace and major handloom clusters such as Mangalagiri and Venkatagiri. The initiative supports the Vocal for Local vision by connecting artisans with wider audiences. Local tourism and hospitality stakeholders, including the Andhra Pradesh Star Hotels Association, are actively supporting festival outreach and enhancing visitor engagement.
