Kerala Fibre Optic Network

The Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON) was recently launched by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It seeks to provide high-speed, affordable internet connectivity to every household to bridge the digital divide. It is a joint venture of the Kerala State IT Infrastructure Limited and Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). A consortium led by Bharat Electronics Limited is implementing the project. 20 lakh BPL families will be provided with free internet through this initiative.
