Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar of the Jharkhand Jaguar has been awarded the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service. The honour recognises his outstanding 25-year career in policing. Officials noted his consistent performance in challenging operational environments and his contribution to strengthening anti-Naxal operations in Jharkhand.
Medal for Meritorious Service Awardees
Eleven personnel from different wings of the state police have been selected for the Medal for Meritorious Service, awarded after 18 years of outstanding service. The recipients include Inspector General Anup Birtharay of Jharkhand Jaguar, IG (Provisions) Patel Mayur Kanhaiyyalal, DSP Sanjay Kumar of Jharkhand Armed Police-1, havildars Krishna Kumar Khetri, Marcus Sunwar and Arun Kumar Ojha, constable Jaidev Pradhan, women constables Janet Margret Lakra and Kumudini Kujur, and Jharkhand Jaguar constables Sufal Odeya and G Wasim Akhtar.

Senior officials stated that the medals acknowledge professionalism, dedication and discipline displayed by the personnel over nearly two decades.
