India finished at the top of the medal standings at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2026 New Delhi leg, winning a total of 208 medals as the three-day competition concluded at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The host nation secured 75 gold, 69 silver and 64 bronze medals, showcasing strong performances across multiple track and field events. India delivered an outstanding performance to finish first in the medal standings. Russia secured the second position with 35 medals, while Bosnia and Herzegovina finished third with three medals. Preeti Pal wins second gold of the meet

Double Paralympic bronze medallist Preeti Pal added another achievement by winning her second gold medal of the tournament in the women’s 200 metre T35–T37 category. Her victory highlighted her consistency at the international level and strengthened India’s medal tally at the event.

Indian athletes secure podium sweeps

India recorded several podium sweeps during the competition. In the men’s shot put F57 event, Shubham Juyal won the gold medal with a throw of 14.45 metres. In the men’s 200 metre T37–T44 race, Rakeshbhai Bhatt finished first with a time of 25.20 seconds, leading an all-Indian podium. Manojkumar Sabapathi also secured gold in the men’s 800 metre T53–T54 event.
