India plans Visa-less 15-nation Travel

Government of India is planning to propose a system that allows the business travellers to do short business trips to 15 other countries within the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) free-trade agreement as part of efforts to boost regional commercial ties. The visa documentation is proposed to be cut short by providing a Business Travel Card, which is based on a similar model under APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation). Objective of this proposal is to spur trade and investment in the RCEP region.

RCEP is currently at negotiation stage; and is a proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between 10 members of ASEAN and other six countries viz.  India, South Korea, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand.
