Cooking Energy Access Survey

Cooking Energy Access Survey 2020 is a study of cooking energy access and usage pattern in urban slums in 6 states- Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. It is a study by Delhi-based policy research instituted CEEW (Council for Energy, Environment and Water). The study found that despite 86% coverage of urban slum households with LPG connection, only half of them use it exclusively. The remaining households also use polluting cooking fuels like firewood, charcoal, dung cakes, agricultural residue and kerosene.
