Bhoramdev Corridor Project Launched in Chhattisgarh
In a major push to heritage-based tourism development, the foundation stone of the Bhoramdev Corridor Development Project was laid at Bhoramdev Dham in Kabirdham district of Chhattisgarh. The initiative aims to enhance pilgrimage infrastructure while preserving the cultural and architectural legacy of one of the State’s most iconic temple sites.
Project Launch and Leadership
The foundation stone was jointly laid by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. The event marked a significant milestone in the Centre–State collaboration for tourism-led regional development.
Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0 Framework
The Bhoramdev Corridor Development Project is being implemented under the Central Government’s Swadesh Darshan Scheme 2.0. The project is estimated to cost around ₹146 crore and is being developed on the lines of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which integrates heritage conservation with modern urban amenities for pilgrims and visitors.
