Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park

Balasaheb Thackeray Gorewada International Zoological Park was developed by the Maharashtra Forest Department and Forest Development Corporation. It spans across 1,914 hectares in Nagpur, comprising of a wildlife sanctuary, Indian safari, African safari, biodiversity parks and night safari. It was recently inaugurated by Maharashtra Chief Minister, while announcing the intention to set up Gondwana Theme Park or Gondwana Theme Village in Nagpur. The proposed project is to promote the culture of Vidarbha tribals.
