Asian hornet is an invasive species of hornet (an insect) that is known to destroy entire colonies of honeybees. It is also known as ‘murder hornet’ and is the largest hornet species in the world. It is native to Japan, Korea and other parts of Asia. It is usually found in mountains and forests where they create nests in decayed trees. It feeds on insects, tree sap and honey.
