Akash-NG Missile

Akash-NG (New Generation) Missile is a surface-to-air missile capable of intercepting high manoeuvring aerial threats. It was successfully test fired by the DRDO on the eve of the Republic Day. The launch was conducted from an Integrated Test Range off the Odisha coast. The missile’s command and control system, onboard avionics and aerodynamic configuration was successfully tested. It is significant as this missile can boost the Indian Air Force’s defence system.
