17th Edition of GRIHA Summit Centers on Climate Innovation
Global leaders, policymakers, and sustainability experts will convene in New Delhi on November 3–4 for the 17th GRIHA Summit, themed ““Innovate to Act for a Climate Resilient World.”” Organised by the GRIHA Council, the summit aims to drive scalable climate action within India’s built environment through innovation, collaboration, and policy dialogue.
Summit Agenda and Key Themes
The two-day event will include four plenary and four technical sessions, alongside three innovation-focused exhibition pavilions. Deliberations will centre on advancing resilient infrastructure, policy mechanisms, and technological innovations to create cities that can adapt to climate challenges. The discussions will address energy efficiency, sustainable construction, and the circular economy in the urban development sector.
Distinguished Speakers and Delegates
The summit will feature over 50 national and international speakers. Notable participants include Srinivas Katikithala, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs; May-Elin Stener, Ambassador of Norway; Ashish Khanna, Director General, International Solar Alliance; and Sanjay Kulshrestha, CMD, HUDCO. The valedictory ceremony will be graced by actor Gulshan Grover as Guest of Honour. TERI’s Director General and GRIHA Council President Vibha Dhawan emphasised that innovation and circularity must define how cities grow and adapt in a changing climate.
Focus on Action and Implementation
Sanjay Seth, Vice President and CEO of the GRIHA Council, stated that climate action must now progress “from intent to implementation” and “from ambition to action.” The sessions will explore inclusive, low-carbon transitions focusing on energy security, climate pedagogy, and resilient community frameworks. Themes such as water security, low-carbon materials, and air quality improvement will form the core of technical discussions.

Innovations and Recognitions at the Summit

A new publication titled ““GRIHA Infrastructure Rating for Metro Stations”” will be launched in collaboration with BMRCL. The GRIHA Awards Ceremony will honour exemplary 4-Star and 5-Star projects, while a pre-summit Green Building Tour at Uttarakhand Niwas will highlight practical models of sustainable architecture.
