Vice-President to Inaugurate 9th India International Water Week

The 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 will be inaugurated by Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan on 22 September 2026 at the Plenary Hall of Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The five-day conference will be held from 22 to 26 September 2026 with the theme “Climate Resilient Water Management”.

India International Water Week

India International Water Week is a water-focused international conference organised in India for policy discussion, technology exchange, and stakeholder engagement in the water sector. The 2026 edition is the ninth edition of the event and is being organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti.

Venue, Dates and Participants

The inaugural ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 am on 22 September 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Union Minister of Jal Shakti C. R. Patil, Minister of State for Jal Shakti V. Somanna, and Minister of State for Jal Shakti Raj Bhushan Choudhary will also attend the event. The Netherlands and Germany will participate as Partner Countries, and 14 Indian states will participate as partner states.

An international exhibition on water management technologies and solutions will be held from 22 to 25 September 2026. The Second International WASH Conference 2026 will also be organised from 22 to 24 September 2026 as part of IIWW-2026.
