US to Host G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Atlanta
The United States will host the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, on 30-31 October 2026. The meeting will bring together foreign ministers from the G20, a forum of major advanced and emerging economies that includes the United States, India, China, Russia, Japan, Germany, France, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Australia, and the European Union.
G20 and its membership
The G20 is an intergovernmental forum of the world’s major economies. Its members account for a large share of global gross domestic product, international trade, and population. The G20 includes 19 countries and the European Union. The forum was formed in 1999 as a finance ministers’ and central bank governors’ platform and was upgraded to leaders’ level in 2008.
