The world’s largest trial of Grail Inc’s flagship Galleri blood test will find out different types of cancer even before the symptoms appear.

Eminent writer of Jammu and Kashmir, Aziz Hajini has recently passed away. He was a Kashmiri writer, poet, critic, and organizer. He had served as the first secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture, and Languages. He was also awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in the year 2013 for his book Tej Pazar and in the year 2016 for Kitab Aan Khane.

Mathematician Anand Kumar was conferred with the Swami Brahmanand Award 2021 for his contribution in the field of education through his ”Super 30” initiative, which prepares underprivileged students for the IIT entrance exam. He received the award from Professor Roop Kishore Shastri, the vice-chancellor of Haridwar”s Gurukula Kangri deemed university, at a function in the Rath area of Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

North Korea was formally suspended from the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as punishment for refusing to send a team to the Tokyo Games citing the COVID-19 pandemic. North Korean national Olympic body will also have to forfeit money it was due from the previous Olympics.

BARC India chief of measurement science and business analytics Dr. Derrick Gray has been appointed as the vice-president of the Market Research Society of India (MRSI). Gray has previously served on the board of directors of the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) of Canada.

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), HDFC Bank and the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has inked a pact to set up a facility for to manage up to 300 metric tonnes of dry waste in the city every month. The material recovery facility (MRF) in Greater Noida will come up at a cost of Rs 3 crore and will be funded by the HDFC bank through its corporate social responsibility programme Parivartan.

Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italy on Cooperation in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. MoU was signed between National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of India and Department of Civil Protection of the Presidency of Council of Ministers of Italy. MoU seeks to bring in place a system, where both India and Italy will benefit from the Disaster Management mechanisms of each other. MoU will help in strengthening the areas of preparedness, response as well as capacity building in the field of Disaster Management. MoU on cooperation in the Field of Disaster Risk Reduction and management was signed in June, 2021.

In order to promote door to door digital banking and financial services in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha launched Mission ‘One Gram Panchayat-One DIGI-Pay Sakhi’, at Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in Pampore. nitially, the DIGI-Pay facility will be provided in 2000 remote villages of the UT and in the first phase, 80 women from Self Help Groups from across Jammu and Kashmir have been selected as DIGI-Pay Sakhis. On the occasion, the Lietenant Governor distributed 80 Aadhaar Enabled Payment Systems (AEPs) among the DIGI-Pay Sakhis under JKRLM. He also inaugurated a week-long training program for Krishi Sakhis and Pashu Sakhis on sustainable agriculture and livestock management.

Reserve Bank of India has given its approval to the Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (SFB) to form a special committee of directors so that they can oversee the operations in absence of a CEO and MD. This Special Committee of Directors will comprise of three independent directors as its members. This committee will oversee the operations and administration of the bank in effect from September 16.
