Every year the World Lymphoma Awareness Day (WLAD) is observed globally on September 15. This day is dedicated to raising awareness about lymphoma and the particular psychosocial and emotional challenges which are faced by patients and caregivers who are suffering from different forms of lymphoma.

The Union Cabinet gave a nod to a production linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the automobile industry to boost production as well as give a push to the sector. The scheme will incentivise the emergence of Advanced Automotive Technologies global supply chain in India. Incentives worth Rs 26,058 crore will be provided to the automobile sector to increase the production of components like cars, auto parts, and other related products in India. This scheme has a budgetary provision of Rs 26,058 crores – Rs 25,938 crores for the auto sector and Rs 120 crores for the drone industry.

Deputy Head Australia Space Agency Anthony Murfett has said that Australia will support India’s Gaganyaan mission by tracking it through Cocos Keeling Island. Earlier this year, ISRO chief K Sivan had said the space agency is also in talks with the Australian counterpart to have a ground station at the Cocos Keeling islands for the Gaganyaan mission.

HSBC India has launched HSBC UniTransact, a digital proposition aimed at simplifying cross-border transactions. This offering is a one-stop solution, bringing clients the benefit of seamless integration of all aspects of transaction banking while minimizing manual intervention through the course of the transaction journey. HSBC UniTransact enables end-to-end visibility of these transactions to clients and also addresses the challenges of having to deal with multiple touch points across different teams for each transaction.

The “Planetarium Innovation Challenge” has been launched by MyGov India for tech entrepreneurs and Indian start-ups. This Planetarium challenge was launched with the primary aim of bringing together local Start-ups and tech firms that have potential to build indigenous planetariums system software. This system software must be built by using latest technologies such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Merged Reality (MR).

The National Aerospace Laboratory (NAL) has adopted Dassault Systèmes’ solutions to develop and build civil aircraft in the country. The platform-based passenger experience solution from 3DEXPERIENCE was used to design the cabin and cockpit of the Saras Mk2 program. Saras Mk2 will be a 19-seater aircraft.

Leading IT service provider Wipro announced the launch of Wipro-Google Cloud Innovation Arena in Bengaluru to accelerate the adoption of cloud services. This cloud collaboration space will provide in-house technical expertise, ensure seamless adoption of the cloud, and accelerate innovation to drive customer business transformation.

India and Nepal on 20th September has begun a 15-day military exercise in Pithoragarh located in the state of Uttarakhand with a focus on counter-terror drills and disaster relief operations. The 15th India-Nepal military training exercise is named ‘Surya Kiran’ and it is being held to boost inter-operability between the two militaries.

Gujarat government is set to launch “Aap Ke Dwar – Ayushman” mega drive from 23rd September 2021. According to the state health Ministry, 80 lakhs families will be covered under this drive to enroll them for Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Ma Card scheme of the state government.

The National Health Authority (NHA) launched the campaign in February this year. Bihar was the first state to activate the beneficiary verification process.

The e-Shram portal is India’s first national database on unorganised workers. The portal came into being after the Supreme Court directed the Government to complete the registration process of unorganized workers.

Over 1 crore registered on e-shram portal. 68% of those registrations were done through Common Service Centres (CSC). The workers can also register themselves in this portal via State Seva Kendra, Labour Facilitation Centres, selected post offices of the Department of Posts’ Digital Seva Kendras.
