The state assembly of Rajasthan has passed the Compulsory Registration of Marriages (Amendment) Bill, 2021, which amends the Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act, 2009.
The bill mandates registration of marriages, including child marriages within 30 days from the date of marriage. The information on child marriage should be given by the parents or guardians within 30 days of the wedding.

‘Doing Business’ report was the flagship publication of the World Bank. After data irregularities were reported internally, on Doing Business reports of 2018 and 2020, World Bank management paused the next Doing Business report.
International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva has also been cited by the World Bank in the probe. The World Bank is set to work on new approach to assess business and investment climate in countries.

The 5-day ‘First Himalayan Film Festival’ has been inaugurated recently at Leh in the Union Territory of Ladakh by Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur.
The five-day festival is being held from September 24-28, 2021 as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The festival is being organised by the administration of UT of Ladakh in collaboration with the Directorate of Film Festivals, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is being hosted in collaboration with the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Leh

Mount Elbrus, located in Russia’s North Caucasus, is the highest mountain Europe at 5,642 metres (18,510 feet). It is the highest stratovolcano in Eurasia, and also the tenth-most prominent peak in the world.
Recently, five climbers died after facing an unprecedented storm on Mount Elbrus, as per the Russia’s Emergencies Ministry. A group of 19 climbers were at an altitude of over 5,000 metres.

Military troops from China and Pakistan launched a joint anti-terror exercise as part of SCO Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS).
The opening ceremony of the Joint Anti-Terrorist Exercise (JATE)-2021 was held at Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. The exercise aims to enhance interoperability among Law Enforcement Agencies of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member countries for combating international terrorism. Headquartered in Tashkent, RATS is a permanent organ of the SCO.

Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has set up Odisha’s first ever Tussar silk yarn production centre at Choudwar in Cuttack district.
Tussar silk is one of the finest varieties of silk, known for its coarseness and porous weave. Silk comprises nearly 75% of the total khadi fabric production in Odisha. Set up at a cost of ₹75 lakh, the silk yarn production centre is capable of producing 200 kg of silk yarn worth ₹94 lakh annually.

NIDHI 2.0 stands for ‘National Integrated Database of Hospitality Industry’. It was launched by the Union Ministry of Tourism to celebrate “World Tourism Day 2021” on 27th September 2021 in New Delhi.
The Ministry also launched ‘India Tourism Statistics – At a Glance, 2021’.  The theme of the World Tourism Day 2021 is “Tourism for Inclusive Growth”. A MoU was also be signed  between Ministry of Tourism, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI)to promote ‘sustainability initiatives’ in the tourism sector.

The National Institute of Biotic Stress Tolerance is a Deemed University under the ICAR is located at Raipur. This institution came into existence in 2012.
This institution is in news recently, as the new campus of the institution at Raipur was dedicated to the nation by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the event, the PM also dedicated 35 climate resilient crop varieties.

The results of the September 26th 2021 Federal Election results of Germany have been declared, in which Olaf Scholz’s centre-left Social Democrats (SPD) has claimed a very narrow victory. This election would select the new Chancellor for the country to replace Angela Merkel, who was in power since 2005.
In the election, no single party has won a clear majority and a coalition government would be formed.

A referendum for a proposal to allow abortion up to 12 weeks of pregnancy was conducted in the Republic of San Marino. Nearly 77% of the total voters backed the proposal and favoured to allow abortion.
Till date, in the Republic of San Marino, ending pregnancy was illegal and invited an imprisonment of 3 years, and an imprisonment of 6 years for the one who carries out abortion.
