The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has been providing Tele Counselling to children through the SAMVEDNA service, through a network of qualified medical professionals / Doctors.
SAMVEDNA stands for “Sensitizing Action on Mental Health Vulnerability through Emotional Development and Necessary Acceptance”. It is a tele counselling service for psychological support to children to address their stress and fear regarding COVID.

Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has proposed setting up a gold exchange. Under the proposed framework, gold would be traded in the form of electronic gold receipts and would have a domestic spot price discovery mechanism, which is transparent.
Under the proposed framework, gold would be denominated in 1 kilogram, 100 grams, 50 grams. Under special cases, they may even be denominated in 5 and 10 grams.

Veteran Tamil writer and Sahitya Akademi winner Ki Rajanarayanan popularly known as Ki Ra, passed away due to age related illness at the age of 98.
Since his first short story was published in 1958, the writer had an expansive literary career. Known as the pioneer of ‘Karisal Literature’, he won the Sakitya Akademi award in 1991 for the novel ‘Gopallapurathu Makkal’. ‘Karisal bhoomi’ is the hot and dry land of southern Tamil Nadu.

The US House passed the legislation to counter a rise in anti-Asian hate crimes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The legislation, known as the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act, it would create a new position at the Justice Department to fast-track review of potential Covid-19-related hate crimes.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren recently launched the ‘Amrit Vahini’ App and a ‘Chatboat’ App.
Though ‘Amrit Vahini’ App or website one can get all information about the availability of hospital beds and book bed online. Through Chatboat, one may get all information related to coronavirus, like the medicines prescribed for it, recommended diet, or free consultation with doctors.

A giant dead sperm whale (Physeter macrocephalus) was sighted off Antarvedi coast near the confluence point of river Godavari into Bay of Bengal.
Since 2010, many dead sperm whales have been recorded off the coasts in Andhra Pradesh. The Sperm Whale species is classified under the Schedule-II of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.

Google has recently introduced its latest AI-driven technique, that will allow people to have conversations on various topics, open-endedly.
Named as LaMDA (“Language Model for Dialogue Applications”), it is a machine learning technique that enables a conversational interaction between itself and users. This is said to be the next step to chatbots which are limited to pre-fixed responses.

The Central Government announced to hike the fertiliser subsidy to Rs 1,200 per bag of Diammonium Phosphate (DAP).
This decision has been taken in a high-level meeting on the issue of fertiliser prices after taking into account of the rising prices of phosphoric acid, ammonia etc internationally. The subsidy was increased from Rs 500 per bag to Rs 1,200 per bag, at an increase of 140%.

In the year 2020, India had made 40,300 requests to the social media giant Facebook, to provide user data. India has ranked second after the USA in making the most data request from Facebook.
Also, in response to the directions from the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Facebook has restricted the access to 878 items in the year 2020, since these were violating Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari has announced the dissolution of its Parliament and has decided to hold fresh elections in the month of November 2021.
This decision has been made by the President since neither the caretaker Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli nor the opposition leader could form a majority government in Nepal.
