Delhi Chief Minister recently launched the early childhood care and education (ECCE) kit or “Khel Pitara” kits.
It was developed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Delhi and anganwadi team. The kit comprises games, toys, puzzles, and books. They will be distributed across 11,000 Anganwadi centres in Delhi.

Notes:
The coverage rate for DPT3, the third dose of diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus vaccines, in India rose to an all-time of 93% in 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
It surpassed the previous pre-pandemic best of 91% recorded in 2019, and also marking a sharp increase from the 85% recorded in 2021.

Established in 2021, the European Peace Facility (EPF) is designed to provide funding for endeavors aimed at preventing conflicts, promoting peace, and bolstering international security.
The facility is utilized to partially reimburse EU countries for the expenses incurred in supplying weapons, ammunition, and other military assistance to countries beyond the bloc.

Indian cricketer Virat Kohli surpassed South Africa’s Jacques Kallis to become the fifth-highest run-scorer in international cricket history.
Kohli achieved this feat in the batting charts during India’s second Test against West Indies at Port of Spain.

Asian Champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty defeated world no. 1 Indonesian duo Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto in a 3-game men’s doubles final to clinch the Korea Open 2023 title in Yeosu, Korea.
The duo entered the summit clash after a win over the world number two Chinese pair of Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang. Satwik and Chirag have won the Indonesia Super 1000 and Swiss Open Super 500 titles this year.

The Tamil Nadu State Coastal Zone Management Authority (TNSCZMA) intends to create at least five regional coordination units to establish an efficient system for identifying violations in Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) areas, conducting essential monitoring, and taking appropriate actions against such violations.
The TNSCZMA has also suggested a significant increase in the scrutiny fee collected from project proponents.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, commemorating the third anniversary of the National Education Policy’s introduction. The event will take place at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Additionally, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati jointly conducted a press conference in Guwahati, discussing the implementation of NEP 2020.

In the Lok Sabha, the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Bill, 2023 was introduced to make changes to the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950.
The purpose of this amendment is to include two synonyms for the Mahar community in the State of Chhattisgarh in its Scheduled Castes list.

Notes:
A distinctive blue mushroom species (Entoloma hochstetteri) was recently discovered in the forests of Kaghaznagar division.
It is a rare mushroom and it is indigenous to New Zealand. The appearance of blue mushrooms was observed for the first time in India, specifically in Odisha, in 1989.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently reported a fresh incidence of MERS-CoV in Abu Dhabi.
In 2012, Saudi Arabia was the initial country to identify the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV).
