Delhi Chief Minister recently launched the early childhood care and education (ECCE) kit or “Khel Pitara” kits.
It was developed by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) Delhi and anganwadi team. The kit comprises games, toys, puzzles, and books. They will be distributed across 11,000 Anganwadi centres in Delhi.

A highly uncommon terrestrial orchid species known as Cymbidium lancifolium was found in the Chopta valley of the Chamoli district, situated in the Western Himalayan region of Uttarakhand.
Before this discovery, the presence of this species had been documented solely in the northeastern regions of India and Bhutan.

Admiral Lisa Franchetti has been selected by US President Joe Biden to become the Navy’s highest-ranking officer.
She also made history as the first woman to hold this prestigious position in the US Navy. Additionally, her appointment would mark the first time a woman has been part of the joint chiefs of staff.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik equals former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu’s record as the second longest-serving Chief Minister in India.
Mr Naveen Patnaik has held the position for 23 years and 138 days. The title of the longest-serving CM belongs to Pawan Kumar Chamling, the former CM of Sikkim, who held the position for 24 years and 166 days.

‘Greening the time’ means the technique to use time or temporal disparities to advance climate objectives. It is expected to help India achieve its climate goals.
The sun rises almost two hours earlier on the eastern side of the country. As per researchers, it is important to consider multiple time zones for India. This could save massive units of electricity.

The Tamil Nadu State Coastal Zone Management Authority (TNSCZMA) intends to create at least five regional coordination units to establish an efficient system for identifying violations in Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) areas, conducting essential monitoring, and taking appropriate actions against such violations.
The TNSCZMA has also suggested a significant increase in the scrutiny fee collected from project proponents.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the second Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam, commemorating the third anniversary of the National Education Policy’s introduction. The event will take place at ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Additionally, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, and the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati jointly conducted a press conference in Guwahati, discussing the implementation of NEP 2020.

‘Khelo India – National Programme for Development of Sports’ Scheme is a central sector scheme implemented since 2016.
The ‘Promotion of rural and indigenous/tribal games’ sub-component of this scheme, assistance is provided to Mallakhamb, Kalaripayyattu, Gatka, Thang-Ta, Silambam, and Yogasan in various aspects. These include infrastructure development, equipment support, coach appointments, coach training, and athlete scholarships.

New Space India Ltd (NSIL), the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), revealed their second consecutive commercial space mission, named PSLV-C56, which is scheduled to launch on 31 July.
The mission’s primary payload is the DS-SAR satellite from Singapore’s Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), intended for satellite imaging applications by Singaporean government agencies.
