Pakistan has acquired an advanced warship named “054A/P, a guided missile frigate” from China.
This is the largest ship that China has built for any country and it is one among the 4 most sophisticated naval warships that is being built for Pakistan. This acquisition would double the combat power of Pakistan’s Navy.

The UEFA Champions League 2020 has been won by the Germany-based football club, the Bayern Munich.
The team won 1-0 against the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) at the final match held at Estadio da Luz, Lisbon. Kingsley Coman scored the only goal of the match during the 59th minute. Bayern Muncih has won the league after 7 years.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has launched the prototype of the ‘National GIS-enabled land bank system’.
It enables the investors to get real-time information about the availability of industrial land and resources. The project is initially launched for six states and will expanded to all states/UTs by December 2020.

The Fisheries Department of the state of Kerala has acquired the first marine ambulance named “Pratheeksha”.
The marine ambulance is constructed by Cochin Shipyard Ltd. The vessel can move at a speed of 14 knots per hour and will be used to rescue fishermen in distress. The vessel has inbuilt facility to provide medical support to as many as ten people at a time.

Veteran folk singer from the state of Assam, Archana Mahanta has passed away at the age of 72. Her last rites were performed with full state honours.
Her husband ‘King of Bihu’ Khagen Mahanta is also a Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee and the couple used to perform together in Assamese music shows. Their son is a popular singer named Papon.

After the supersession of the Medical Council of India (MCI), the board of governors (BoG) announced that Pandemic management will be included in the MBBS course.
The premier medical education regulator said that the Medical students will learn this module along with its social, legal and other portions. This module will extend from foundation course to the final year undergraduate programme. This will help the doctors to meet the challenges posed by pandemics like Covid-19.

The Union Government has proposed to introduce 11 ordinances in the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament.
These ordinances pertain to various ministries including Health Ministry, Finance Ministry and Agriculture Ministry. The Monsoon Session would commence from 14th September and will continue till 1st October without any break. Several preventive measures have been put in place at the Parliament for the safety of participants.

The Punjab Assembly has unanimously passed a resolution tabled by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh against the Centre’s farm ordinances.
The assembly also passed resolution against the proposed Electricity amendment Bill 2020. As per the Chief Minister and the assembly, the ordinances were against the rights of the farmers and the regime of Minimum Support Price.

Picodi.com, an international e-commerce platform has released a global ranking of nations based on average wages.
India has been ranked 72nd among 106 nations, with a monthly average income of Rs.32,800 (USD 437). Switzerland has topped the list with USD 5989 and Cuba is ranked the last at USD 36.

The Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology (IT) Ravi Shankar Prasad, launched a challenge named “CHUNAUTI” (Challenge Hunt Under NGIS for Advanced Uninhibited Technology Intervention).
The challenge encourages start-ups to develop solutions to address the problems being faced by the nation during the COVID 19 pandemic. The challenge has been launched under Next Generation Incubation Scheme (NGIS).
