Delhi Doubles ASHA Incentives, Launches Nursing Home Portal
Delhi government doubled the monthly incentives for 6,690 Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) workers from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 on 6 October 2026. It also launched the Nursing Home Management System portal for online registration and renewal of private nursing homes in Delhi.
Accredited Social Health Activist
ASHA workers are community health workers under the National Health Mission. They support maternal health, child health, immunisation, and public health outreach at the household level.
Mission ANMOL
Mission ANMOL stands for Advanced Newborn Monitoring for Optimal Lifecare. The scheme was expanded to screen newborns for 63 congenital, genetic, and metabolic disorders within 24 to 72 hours of birth.
The Delhi government aims to raise annual newborn screening coverage under Mission ANMOL from about 150,000 to 250,000 newborns. Early screening under the scheme is linked with timely diagnosis and treatment of newborn disorders.
State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation
A new building for the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation was inaugurated virtually at GB Pant Hospital in Delhi. SOTTO functions as a state-level body for organ and tissue donation and transplantation coordination.

The Delhi government launched these measures at the ASHA Sammelan-2026 and ASHA Samman Samaroh in Thyagraj Stadium. Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta jointly launched the initiatives.
