Corporate Mitra Scheme for MSME Support

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs launched the Corporate Mitra Scheme 2026 for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The scheme was announced in the Union Budget 2026-27 and is designed to create trained paraprofessionals for MSME support in compliance, accounting, taxation, financial guidance, and governance.

Scheme Framework

The Corporate Mitra Scheme is linked with institutions such as IIT Madras, IIT Pravartak, SWAYAM Plus, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 25 June 2026 to operationalise the scheme.

Training Structure and Eligibility

The programme has a duration of 12 months. It includes about 150 hours of online academic learning through the SWAYAM Plus portal and six months of on-the-job training with professional firms. Applicants must be Indian nationals below 30 years of age and must be graduates or final-year graduation students.

Batch Size, Fee and Certification

The first batch will have 2,000 participants. The scheme reserves 200 seats for candidates from the North East region. The course fee is ₹3,000 plus GST, and a 50% concession applies to women candidates and students from the North Eastern States, Himalayan Regions, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep. Candidates who complete the academic modules and practical training receive Corporate Mitra certification.
