What is Calms of Capricorn?
The region of light and calm winds lying in the belt of high pressure near the Tropic of Capricorn in Southern Hemisphere is known as Clams of Capricorn. In Northern Hemisphere that belt of high pressure near tropic of cancer is known as Calms of Cancer.
