VinSpace Signs SpaceX Launch Deal for 2027
Vietnamese aerospace company VinSpace signed a contract with SpaceX on 11 August 2026 to launch its first satellites into orbit in 2027. The launch is planned as part of a SpaceX Transporter rideshare mission, which carries multiple payloads on the same rocket and shares launch costs among customers.
VinSpace and Corporate Background
VinSpace was established in November 2025 with an initial capital of 300 billion dong, which is about US$11.4 million. The company operates as a unit of Vingroup, Vietnam’s largest privately owned conglomerate, and is majority-owned by Pham Nhat Vuong, the founder of Vingroup.
Satellite Development and Mission Plan
VinSpace has stated a plan to research, develop, and operate its satellites internally. The company had earlier set a roadmap in April 2026 for the manufacturing and launch of its first microsatellite by 2027.
