Sindhu Sadhana
 
Sindhu Sadhana is a research vessel with the National Institute of Oceanography in Panaji, Goa. It was acquired in 2012 and it provides a stable platform for oceanographers to take up studies in any part of the Indian Ocean. A 30-member research team is set to carry out a first of its kind study of the Indian Ocean at a cellular level. This 25 crore INR project involves genome mapping of microbes in the Indian Ocean and will span a period of 3 years.
