Saint Nagarjuna

Saint Nagarjuna was a scholar saint and philosopher who lived during the 2nd century AD. He is considered as one of the most important Mahayana Buddhist thinkers. He was born in south India and is credited with founding the Madhyamaka school of Buddhism. His most important work is a Sanskrit text called Mulamadhyamakakarika or ‘Root Verses on Madhyamaka’. Recently, his thinking was highlighted at the 3rd annual conference of CDRI.
