The Bihar government issued the gazette notification for the two quota bills after governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar signed the Bihar Reservation of vacancies in posts and services (For SC, ST, EBC and OBC) Amendment Bill and the Bihar (In Admission in Educational, Institutions) Reservation Amendment Bill, 2023 paving the way for increase in quota from the existing 50% to 65%.
With this, total reservation in the state will reach 75% after adding 10% to the economic and weaker sections (EWS).

France, Germany, and Italy have reached an agreement on how to regulate artificial intelligence (AI). The agreement is expected to speed up negotiations at the European Union level.
The agreement includes Binding commitments for both large and small AI providers in the European Union, Rules of conduct, sanctions for violations. The European Parliament presented an AI act earlier this year. The act is designed to contain the risks of AI applications and avoid discriminatory effects.

The People’s Bank of China and the Central bank of Saudi Arabia recently inked a local currency swap deal.
The agreement, valid for three years and subject to extension by mutual consent, involves a sum of 50 billion yuan ($6.93 billion) or 26 billion Saudi riyals. This bilateral currency swap arrangement is anticipated to bolster financial collaboration between the two nations, enhance the utilization of local currencies, and foster increased trade and investment, as stated in the official announcement.

Emmett Shear has assumed the role of interim CEO at OpenAI, the organization responsible for the development of the artificial intelligence-powered chatbot ChatGPT.
This appointment comes just two days after the company’s board terminated the position of OpenAI’s co-founder and CEO, Sam Altman.

Discovered in 2000 in the Atlantic Ocean, the Lost City Hydrothermal Field, situated over 700 meters beneath the ocean surface, holds mystery. With a history of at least 120,000 years, this environment reveals a unique interaction between the upthrusting mantle and seawater.

United Nations panel on road traffic meeting is set to take place in New Delhi in December 2023.
