Kushagra Rawat of Delhi and Srihari Nataraj of Karnataka are Indian Aquatic champions, who have created new national records in 400m freestyle and 100 backstroke events respectively at the 74th Senior National Aquatic Championships.
Kushagra Rawat has created a new record of 3:53.68 seconds, which is 1.25 seconds lower than the previous record on 400 m freestyle, while Srihari Nataraj finished in 55.10 seconds in 100 m back stroke, there by beating his own national record created in 2019.

US wildlife researchers have discovered that two California condors, a critically endangered bird, have given birth without any male genetic DNA.
Virgin births are formally called parthenogenesis or asexual reproduction, are recorded in other bird species, also in lizards, snakes, sharks, rays and other fish. Around 500 California condors remain in the US south-west region and Mexico.

The National e Governance Division (NeGD) of the Ministry of Electronics and IT is organising AI Pe Charcha (AI Dialogue) on the theme, “AI for Date Driven Governance”.
The session aims to cover the importance of data driven and AI-enabled governance along with the global best practices. , AI Pe Charcha is a series of panel discussions involving various global and domestic leaders from the Government and industry, researchers sharing their experiences.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s coalition has recently secured a comfortable majority in Sunday’s parliamentary election.
Kishida’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) claimed 259 seats in the 465-member lower house, which will give an absolute stable majority and control over parliamentary committees. Kishida became Japan’s Prime Minister last month when his predecessor Yoshihide Suga resigned.

The native Vilwadri cattle of Thrissur district of Kerala is genetically divergent from the rest of the cattle population in the State.
The genetic diversity study was done by a group of scientists of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Animal Genetics and Breeding (CASAGB). The Vilwadri cattle, which are found in the Palakkad-Thrissur border, cattle are humped like other indigenous cattle of the State but they are bigger with longer horns. Indigenous breeds are disease-resistant and can withstand high temperatures.

The UK will provide an “India Green Guarantee” to the World Bank, to unlock 750 million pounds for green projects across India.
This was announced at the COP26 summit in Glasgow. The green guarantee financing will support clean and resilient infrastructure in sectors including clean energy, transport and urban development. UK committed over 210 million pounds at the UN climate summit under Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG).

World Tsunami Awareness Day is observed every year on November 5, by the United Nations to spread awareness about this disaster. In December 2015, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) passed a resolution in this regard.
As per a UN report, the Tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004 has been recorded as the most hazardous natural disaster which occurred in the past 100 years.

Britain Based oil and gas explorer Cairn Energy PLC has stated that it has changed its name to Capricorn Energy PLC and the same could come into effect from December 2021.
The company has been involved in a USD 1 billion retrospective tax dispute with the Government of India, and the case has come to a point of closure.
