Notes:
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Asia’s largest solar plant in the state.
The 750 MW Rewa Ultra-Mega Solar plant would be inaugurated through video conferencing. It is claimed to be the one of the largest single-site solar power plants in Asia. The plant is located in the Rewa district of Vindhya region of the state.

Notes:
The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee has launched the state’s own document scanning application named ‘Self Scan’.
The application has been developed by the state’s information technology department. This has been launched amidst the ban imposed by the Centre over 59 Chinese mobile apps. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the state’s first Plasma Bank for treatment of COVID-19 positive patients.

As per the recent communication from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), all custom stations would set up Turant Suvidha Kendras (TSKs) by July 15.
The centres would act as the only interface point with Customs officers for physical submission of documents. The Union Budget 2020 proposed to launch nation-wide faceless assessment and this is considered as the first step in the process. CBIC has also inducted several modern testing equipment into the Central Revenues Control Laboratory.

The state government of Odisha has approved to provide around Rs 23,848 crore to its Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), for a period of six years.
This allocation has been done, on the recommendation of the fifth State Finance Commission. The state Secretary has directed to release the funds directly to the bodies through PRIASOFT portal. The second instalment will be provided only after 30% of the work taken is completed.

As per the recent notification of the Corporate Affairs Ministry, the tenure of Justice B L Bhat as the acting Chairperson of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal’s (NCLAT), for three more months.
His three-month tenure as officiating Chairman was scheduled to end on June 15. This decision would be in effect for three more months or until a regular Chairperson is appointed or until further orders. The last NCLAT Chairman Justice S J Mukhopadhaya retired on March 15, 2020.

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently approved to establish an Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, with a corpus of Rs 1 lakh crore.
Under the scheme, loans amounting to Rs 1 lakh crore will be provided to Farmer Producers Organizations (FPOs), Self Help Group (SHG), agriculture entrepreneurs, start-ups among others, to improve their infrastructure and logistics facilities. This fund is a part of the Rs 20 lakh crore stimulus package announced by Union Government

As per the World Health Organisation’s new release, the Maldives and Sri Lanka have become the first two countries in the South East Asian Region, to eliminate both measles and rubella.
The countries have completely eliminated the diseases ahead of the deadline of 2023. WHO declares a country to have eliminated measles and rubella, when there is no evidence of transmission of the disease for over three years.

The state Cabinet of Uttar Pradesh has recently cleared the new Uttar Pradesh ‘Start-up policy 2020’, to promote start-ups in the state.
The policy seeks to establish at least one incubator in each district and 100 incubators across the state. It also aims to create an ecosystem in the state to establish 10,000 start-up companies. The policy will be applicable for the next five years.

The first international cricket match, after the occurrence of Covid-19, commenced between England and West Indies.
The test match started at Ageas Bowl in London. After the delay of 117 days caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the international cricket match has begun. England team is lead by Ben Stokes while the West Indies team is led by Jason Holder.

Notes:
The Chinese embassy in the central Asian country Kazakhstan has recently issued a statement, in which it has warned its citizens living in Kazakhstan, about a local ‘unknown pneumonia’.
The embassy also announced that this unknown disease has a higher fatality rate than the Covid-19 disease. As per the statement, the disease has caused 1772 deaths in the first six months of the year, which also included several Chinese citizens.
